Before splitting off into The Mars Volta and Sparta, this punk-influenced art rock band electrified the alternative rock scene in the late ’90s/early ’00s. They would reunite several years later, marking a change in their sound but no slagging in their energy or creativity. These are my favorite songs from the influential El Pasoans.
