That’s right, here they are—the lords of darkness themselves. While certainly not the only contributor to our modern conception of heavy metal, for my money, Sabbath were the ones to solidify it as something that could only be described as…evil. That said, their love of blues and even jazz is ever present in their formidable catalogue, these sounds yet being more ingredients for their unique witches’ brew. These are my favorite songs from the savvy Sabs.
